Admiral Devendra Kumar Joshi is the current Lieutenant Governor of Andaman and Nicobar Island. He was earlier the chief of Naval Staff of Indian Navy. He has won many medals. He was also the specialist in anti-submarine welfare. He has resigned from it taking the charge of a series of accidents.

Admiral Devendra Kumar Joshi was born in Almora, Uttarakhand in India on 4 July 1954. His father’s name is Mr Hira Ballabh Joshi who was a chief in Almora and Nainital of Conservator of Forests. He completed his schooling from Nainital then he went to Delhi for Higher studies where he was selected to National Defence Academy. He is married to Chitra and has two daughters.
