Anusuiya Uikey is an Indian politician. She belongs to Bhartiya Janta Party. She was born on April 10, 1957, in Chhindwara, Madhya Pradesh. Her father’s name is Late Shri Lakhanlal Ji Uikey. She pursued her degree of masters in Economics. Before coming to politics, she was teaching as a lecturer in Government College in Tania district, Chhindwara.
She was the MLA of Damua constituency from 1985 – 1990. She was also the minister of women and child development department in Bhopal from 1988-1989. For three years that is from 2000-2003, she was the member of the National Commission for women. She was reappointed for the same in 2003 till June 2005. She was also the former member of Railway Advisory Committee SECR Railway zone committee in the year 2007 she has also been awarded for the upliftment of Dalit Society. Currently, she is serving as the 6th Governor of Chhattisgarh since July 16, 2019.
