Giriraj Singh (गिरिराज सिंह) was born on September 8, 1952, in Barahiya, Bihar. His father’s name is Mr Ramavtar Singh. His mother’s name is Mrs Tara Devi. He went to Magadh University to pursue his graduation degree in 1971. He married Mrs Uma Singh with whom he had a daughter.
He was the member of State Legislative Council from 2002 to May 2014. He was also the cooperative minister of Government of Bihar from 2005-2010. In May 2014 he was elected in the 16th Lok Sabha elections. When Modi government was about to form back in 2014 he was the loyal supporter of Mr Narendra Modi to be the Prime Minister of India. He sworn oath as the Union Minister of State, Minister of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises on November 9, 2014. He is currently serving as the Cabinet Minister of Ministry of Animal Husbandry, Dairying and Fisheries since May 30, 2019.
