Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan was born on 2nd June 1961 in Nagercoil, Kanyakumari Kandam. She is an Indian medical doctor and the 2nd Governor of Telangana. Her father’s name is Mr Kumari Ananthan. Her father is the former member of Parliament.
She married Dr P. Soundararajan, who is also a medical doctor. She pursued her MBBS degree from Madras Medical College, Chennai. Furthermore, she pursued her degree from Dr MGR Medical University, Chennai in obstetrics and gynaecology. She did her training in Canada in Sonology and FET therapy.
Since she belonged to political family background, she was interested in politics from childhood. But before coming into politics, she worked as an assistant professor at Ramachandra Medical College, Chennai for 5 years. She was also the former president of Tamil Nadu state. She belongs to Bhartiya Janta Party. During her college days, she was elected as the student leader at Madras Medical College. Earlier she was the National Secretary and Tamil Nadu state union president of the BJP. She is currently serving as the 2nd Governor of Telangana.
