Nitish Kumar was born on March 1, 1951, to Kaviraj Ram and Parmeshwari Devi. His father was an ayurvedic practitioner and used to live in Bakhtiarpur, Bihar. He graduated from Bihar College of Engineering in mechanical engineering. He used to work in Bihar State Electricity Board but he didn’t like it and finally moved to politics.
